C++ code doesn´t run on Windows XP / Visual Studio 2005

Description
Don´t know exactly if it is a bug, but even after adding the right variables to the missing C++ implementation, the code fails because istream::read fails after reading some chunk of data in Windows. The C implemenation works fine. Tested using Windows XP with MSVC2005.
